Riviera Travel has made a significant move by adding a free Superior drinks package to all their 2024 European river cruises. This offer, which is available for all new and existing bookings, represents the first instance where a complimentary drinks package is available across an entire sailing season. The decision underscores the commitment of the travel company to provide added value and enhance the cruise experience for its customers.
The Superior drinks package, worth £400 per person per week, gives guests the opportunity to indulge in unlimited drinks from a selection of house wines, draught beer, and soft beverages during lunch. Furthermore, guests can savour a cocktail of the day, house spirits, and selected aperitifs and digestifs each evening from 6pm until midnight. A recommended regional wine accompanies dinner, further enriching the dining experience.
Spanning over 300 departures that compose 13 distinct itineraries, the package caters to a diverse range of guests, including seven itineraries specifically tailored for solo travellers. This wide-ranging offer highlights Riviera Travel’s endeavour to accommodate various preferences and cruising needs, ensuring that their services are versatile and inclusive.
Robin Shaw, the chief commercial officer at Riviera Travel, remarked on the tremendous value that Riviera Travel river cruises already offer. With the addition of the complimentary drinks package, passengers have the opportunity to maximise their budget’s potential. Shaw acknowledged the package’s popularity during previous summer cruises, stating, “It proved by far the most popular customer choice in the research we conducted and provides a more comprehensive offering than most other river cruise lines.” This confidence reinforces the anticipated success of the initiative among the cruise line’s clientele.
In addition to the drinks package, all 2024 itineraries will include return flights with regional airport options at no extra cost, Eurostar travel on select itineraries, and scheduled tours. This comprehensive approach to travel planning seems designed to further enhance customer convenience and satisfaction.
Earlier in 2023, Riviera unveiled a travel agent engagement committee, aiming to gather insights on improving trade support. This development demonstrates Riviera’s proactive strategy in refining operations and ensuring that both agents and travellers alike receive optimal support.
Riviera Travel’s introduction of a complimentary drinks package for 2024 river cruises reflects their commitment to enhancing customer value, poised to delight passengers across all itineraries.
