Riviera Travel has announced the resumption of its European river cruises and selected tour programmes to the Irish market with immediate effect. This reopening encompasses its offerings for 2024 and the newly launched itineraries for 2025, providing Irish customers with opportunities to explore Europe’s renowned waterways, including the Seine, Rhone, Rhine, Douro, and Danube.
Alongside the traditional cruise offerings, Riviera Travel has introduced dedicated departures for solo travellers, as well as newly themed cruises set to launch in 2025. This development aims to cater to diverse customer needs and preferences, broadening the potential audience for these travel experiences.
Moreover, Riviera Travel has placed seven of its European itineraries from its touring portfolio on the market, with plans to expand its offerings over the next 12 months. These tours promise a blend of guided exploration and independent adventure, ensuring a comprehensive travel experience for participants.
The programmes are priced in Euros and can be accessed through Riviera’s dedicated Irish domain website and trade booking platform, known as Riviera Agents. To support and manage this market reopening, Riviera has appointed Vicky Billing, the head of partnerships, alongside a dedicated trade team, to oversee the operations.
Stuart Milan, Riviera Travel’s channel director, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Irish guests back on board. He highlighted the company’s extensive range of products designed to enable guests to experience Europe’s incredible destinations with minimal hassle. Riviera’s offerings on the rivers include all-inclusive dining and superior drinks packages, complemented by exceptional service from the crew and insightful local guides. On land, the crafted touring itineraries are structured to balance expertise-led guidance with independent exploration.
