Riviera Travel has revealed the new itinerary programmes for its upcoming river cruise ships, the Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose, scheduled to commence in 2025. These ships are set to provide travellers with unparalleled experiences across various European rivers, pledging to deliver both luxury and cultural immersion.
The 178-guest Riviera Radiance will traverse the majestic Danube River, offering six distinct voyages. Among these is the renowned eight-day Blue Danube itinerary, which takes passengers through the historic cities of Vienna, Durnstein, Budapest, and Bratislava, available from April to October 2025. Prices for these unforgettable journeys begin at £1,849 per person. Additionally, the Radiance will embark on an expansive 15-day cruise from Budapest to the Black Sea, featuring guided tours of culturally rich sites such as Veliko Tarnovo and the Churches of Ivanovo. This longer voyage is available in May, June, and September 2025, with fares starting from £3,999 per person.
In contrast, the 114-guest Riviera Rose will sail the Douro River, presenting an eight-day Highlights of the Douro Valley and Salamanca cruise. This itinerary is designed to showcase the splendid Portuguese landscapes and heritage, with stops that include Porto’s charming old town and Mateus Palace. Passengers will also enjoy port tastings and a visit to the historic town of Salamanca. The Rose’s voyages commence on 1 April 2025, with pricing beginning at £2,099 per person.
Bookings for these cruises are set to open on 29 February 2024, marking significant milestones for Riviera Travel. Notably, these new ships will be the first to carry the Riviera name proudly on their bows, symbolising the company’s innovative step forward in river cruising.
