Riviera Travel has announced the addition of three new long-haul escorted tours for 2026. The new itineraries will include a 13-day classic tour of Egypt featuring Cairo, Luxor, and a Nile cruise, a 13-day tour highlighting South Korea, and a 15-day trip exploring India and Nepal. These tours promise to deliver extensive cultural experiences and engage travellers in each destination’s rich history.
In response to growing demand for unique travel experiences, these additions reflect a broader trend towards more specialised and immersive travel packages. Riviera Travel’s Senior Product Manager, Linda Harris, notes that the South Korea and India & Nepal tours include ‘quite unusual mixes of culture and activities,’ positioning them as ideal for travellers who have previous experience in Asia and seek new adventures.
The launch of new tours is set against the backdrop of Riviera’s broader expansion plans. The company reports a double-digit growth for its 2025 long-haul escorted tours, indicating a robust resurgence in travel. This period of growth aligns with the introduction of the signature tours collection, which has been gaining traction since its 2023 debut, increasing to account for one in five long-haul bookings.
Reflecting this success, Riviera Travel is poised to expand further, with more departures and smaller group sizes featuring in five of its signature tours, enhancing the personalised travel experience. These offerings are designed to cater to discerning travellers seeking intimate and enriched journeys.
Looking beyond 2026, Riviera’s Product Director, Will Sarson, suggests that there is substantial ‘opportunity’ in markets like Africa, North America, and Latin America, with more tours under consideration. The company is committed to adapting and evolving its offerings in response to market demands and passenger interests.
Riviera Travel’s expansion heralds a positive outlook for the travel industry, reflecting growing consumer appetite for diverse cultural tours.
