Riviera Travel is advancing its river cruise offerings by introducing the Riviera Resplendence, a new ship scheduled for launch in 2026. This vessel will complement the existing fleet with enhanced guest facilities, such as three dining venues and a novel restaurant concept, Mosaic, alongside Grand Balcony suites and expanded lounge areas.
The announcement of the Riviera Resplendence signifies the company’s ongoing growth strategy, being the third new ship planned for launch. Pre-sales figures have already indicated a 20 per cent increase in bookings for Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose, showing a strong demand from clients ahead of their release next year.
The 2026 cruise programme will be Riviera’s largest, featuring 428 voyages across 13 river ships, and includes 31 departures exclusively for solo travellers. This expansive strategy reflects the company’s aim to accommodate increasing market demand and provide unparalleled exploration opportunities at competitive prices.
Will Sarson, the product director at Riviera, emphasised the company’s commitment to responding to customer demand while maintaining the distinctive Riviera experience both on board and ashore. He highlighted the diverse itineraries planned, including scenic river journeys and gastronomic excursions.
To encourage early bookings, Riviera is offering departures at 2025 prices until mid-December 2024, coupled with a £50 booking incentive for agents. There is also a complimentary all-inclusive drinks package available for 2026 cruises, providing guests with extensive beverage options as part of the experience.
