Ride Shotgun, an omnichannel creative content agency, has strategically acquired PIX-US, a North Carolina-based CGI company. This follows the agency’s earlier acquisition of Silicon Valley-based Volume Group in March, enabling a significant presence on both the East and West coasts of the United States. By integrating these assets, Ride Shotgun is uniquely positioned to enhance its content delivery capabilities for a broad international clientele, which includes major industry players such as Intuit, Diageo, KAO, Tempur Sealy, HSBC, and Amazon.
The union of Ride Shotgun and PIX-US amalgamates their teams and expertise, particularly fortifying their stance within the North American market. PIX-US, recognised for its long-standing excellence in photorealistic CGI content production for retail and consumer brands, brings a decade of experience into this merger. Their combined operations now include 200 professionals across the United Kingdom, United States, European Union, and Asia, with annual revenues exceeding $20 million.
Mark Mallinder, CEO of Ride Shotgun, expressed enthusiasm over this expanded capability, stating, “The incredible team from Volume, who already have a strong track record of delivering technology-driven solutions for their US clients, has now been strengthened by PIX-US. PIX has been producing stunning visual content for some great brands and we are really excited to add our expertise and support to their team.”
Stewart Fortune, Managing Director of PIX-US, commented on the merger, “Having known the team at Ride Shotgun for quite a few years this is the perfect opportunity for us to strengthen our current offering.” He highlighted the combined ability to deliver creative content strategy alongside photorealistic CGI imagery and visualisation tools, thus offering broader production solutions to meet client demands.
Joanna South, who previously joined Ride Shotgun from Volume and now serves as Senior Vice President of Ride Shotgun US, noted, “We are looking forward to expanding further across North America with an end-to-end offer as a global marketing support partner.” Her statement underlines the agency’s commitment to leveraging its combined resources for comprehensive marketing solutions.
The acquisition of PIX-US solidifies Ride Shotgun’s capability to deliver expansive creative solutions across the US and beyond, enhancing its global market position.
