The luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises has expanded its fleet with the addition of the Seven Seas Grandeur, a ship that promises to elevate guest experiences through exceptional space and staff-to-guest ratios. This new addition is noteworthy for its gross tonnage of 55,500, manned by 548 crew members, and accommodating up to 746 guests, showcasing Regents commitment to providing ample space and personalised service.
Scheduled to set sail on 18 November 2023, the Seven Seas Grandeur will embark on its maiden voyage from Venice to Barcelona. This journey, led by Captain Luciano Montesanto and his senior leadership team, inaugurates a series of diverse itineraries crafted to provide exemplary travel experiences to its guests.
Following its Mediterranean introduction, Grandeur is set to cross the Atlantic, arriving in Miami where it will be celebrated at a gala event. At this occasion, Sarah Fabergé, the ship’s godmother and a distinguished member of The Fabergé Heritage Council, will perform christening duties, thereby honouring the vessel’s entry into service.
The Seven Seas Grandeur will then navigate the Caribbean, undertake two transits of the Panama Canal, and cruise along the US Eastern Seaboard during its inaugural season. Most of these sailings are nearing full capacity, underscoring the ship’s appeal and the burgeoning popularity of Regent’s luxurious offerings.
Its seasonal journey will eventually lead Grandeur back across the Atlantic, setting the stage for Mediterranean exploration for summer 2024. In the later months, specifically September and October, the ship will visit Canada and New England before concluding the year with yet another Caribbean itinerary.
Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, highlighted the ship’s anticipated success, attributing it to the robust demand for luxury cruising. Regent President Andrea DeMarco further emphasized that the Grandeur is set to exceed expectations with its refined elegance and superior hospitality standards.
The Seven Seas Grandeur exemplifies Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ commitment to luxury and innovation, setting new benchmarks in the cruising industry.
