Rectory Gas Supplies, headquartered near Stamford Bridge, North Yorkshire, has achieved a notable milestone by expanding its operations into Norfolk. This strategic move is supported by the acquisition of two advanced Krone flatbed trailers, known for their robustness and innovative features. As the company marks its 35th anniversary, it continues to provide a comprehensive range of LPG products, including propane and butane gas bottles, as well as bulk tanks, to a diverse client base spanning homes, businesses, and tradespeople across Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, and Humberside.
The decision to incorporate Krone trailers reflects Rectory Gas Supplies’ commitment to enhancing its logistics capabilities. Each trailer is equipped with fully welded, double-T longitudinal beams and cross members, and a sturdy 40mm thick hardwood floor. These structural elements ensure durability and reliability, essential for the demanding task of transporting LPG.
A standout feature of the Krone trailers is the award-winning Multi Lock side rave system, which provides load securing positions every 100mm. This system is part of the Krone Multi Safe load securing strategy, designed to minimise risks associated with load detachment, which can lead to accidents or losses. With up to 126 strapping points per side, these trailers offer over 3,000 load securing configurations, adaptable with various options such as screwable pallet stops and lashing rings.
David Barton, Operations Manager and co-owner of Rectory Gas Supplies, has highlighted the significance of these trailers in their operations. He notes their suitability for transporting gas bottles and cylinders between their headquarters and the new Norwich depot, stating that the trailers meet or exceed all safety standards. Barton’s commentary underscores the importance of dependable and safe transport solutions, particularly in the LPG sector, where safety is paramount.
In choosing Krone, Rectory Gas Supplies has benefited not only from a high-quality product but also from commendable service. Barton praised Krone UK’s reliability, noting their adherence to promises and the satisfaction of the drivers using these trailers. This investment not only supports the company’s current operational needs but also positions it well for future growth, ensuring the delivery of quality service at competitive prices.
The acquisition of Krone trailers marks a pivotal step in Rectory Gas Supplies’ strategic expansion, enhancing both operational efficiency and safety standards.
