Quark Expeditions, a renowned polar specialist, has introduced a distinctive incentive aimed at travel agents, offering them the rare opportunity to embark on a journey to Antarctica. This initiative, known as the Great Polar Sweepstakes, is scheduled to run from February 1 to May 31, allowing travel advisors to compete for a spot on an exclusive trip.
The competition is structured to select ten travel agents, rewarding them with a chance to participate in the much-anticipated 11-day Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent cruise, which is set to take place in November. The selection process is designed to identify top-performing agents based on accumulated sales, while also incorporating a lottery system to ensure fairness and excitement.
The incentive is crafted to recognise and celebrate the dedication of travel advisors. As stated by Becky Francis, the EMEA regional sales director, the initiative both acknowledges the unwavering commitment of advisors and offers them a platform to enhance their expertise in polar travel. According to Francis, “It gives us great pleasure to both celebrate – and reward – our community of dedicated travel advisors. We’re beyond thrilled to host an incentive that both demonstrates our gratitude to travel advisors and, at the same time, provides them with an opportunity to further deepen their polar expertise during an immersive Antarctic fam trip with the best expedition team in the industry.”
The selection criteria are segmented into sales achievements and random draws; seven spaces are allocated to agents who excel in sales of Antarctic bookings, while three wildcard positions are reserved for winners drawn from a points-based lottery. Points are awarded on the basis of bookings, with each Antarctic sale garnering one point and Arctic bookings earning double points.
This incentive not only seeks to boost sales and visibility for Quark Expeditions but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of polar travel among participating agents, equipping them with first-hand experience and knowledge to better serve their clients.
This initiative by Quark Expeditions represents a strategic effort to strengthen its relationship with travel advisors while enhancing their expertise in polar travel.
