Protected Trust Services (PTS) has announced a forward-looking strategy aimed at expanding its membership base to 1,000 over the next five years. To achieve this, PTS has undergone a rebranding exercise, introducing a new logo and simplifying its website. This move is intended to elevate the company’s profile within the travel industry and attract new members.
With around 400 current members, comprising travel agents and tour operators, PTS has established a strong position in the market. Daniel Landon, the Chief Executive, highlighted that PTS presently accounts for 12% of all Atol licences, a key indicator of its significant influence. Recent months have seen a surge in applications, with 200 new members joining last year alone.
The rebranding initiative seeks to communicate the comprehensive nature of PTS’s offerings. Central to its services are trust accounts, which provide security and assurance. Furthermore, PTS offers operational flexibility, allowing members to enjoy lower operating costs, autonomy in establishing supplier relationships, and individual Atol licences under their own name.
While expansion is a goal, Landon stressed that the rebrand is equally about making PTS’s products more accessible and tangible to the travel sector. The focus lies on promoting a deeper understanding of the services provided and encouraging potential members to recognise the benefits of joining.
Landon expressed a desire for Atol reform to simplify the licensing process, aiming to support members in managing their businesses more effectively. His vision for PTS is one of empowerment, helping members navigate the complexities of running independent travel businesses.
Protected Trust Services is set on reshaping its identity while ambitiously targeting growth within the competitive travel industry.
