Prometeon Tyre Group has embarked on a transformative journey with the launch of its first self-branded tyre range, an initiative that underscores its strategic evolution since its establishment in 2017. In a symbolic revelation, the new tyre series was introduced at a ceremonious event held close to the majestic Giza pyramids in Egypt, a location that bears significance due to its proximity to Prometeon’s manufacturing hub.
The tyres, stemming from the Serie 02 line, are set to commence production at the Alexandria plant, strategically positioned to cater to the diverse markets across Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. This regional focus represents Prometeon’s commitment to addressing the unique demands of the local markets before expanding to broader territories.
CEO Roberto Righi highlighted the historic nature of this launch, describing it as the inception of a new chapter for the company and reflecting on its extensive heritage, which boasts over a century of expertise and the production of more than 150 million tyres. This launch also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Egyptian factory, an occasion marked by recognising the dedication of its long-serving employees.
By the end of 2024, the Serie 02 tyres will become available in Europe, encompassing the UK market. The product range includes the G02 ON-OFF model, engineered for multi-purpose road and construction site usage, and the G210 model, which is tailored for heavy regional transport, emphasising design elements that cater to local needs.
Additionally, Prometeon has continued to strengthen its partnerships through strategic agreements with logistics firms such as Brit European and Hawthorns Logistics, both of which have extended their contracts to integrate Prometeon’s advanced tyre solutions into their fleet operations.
Prometeon’s introduction of self-branded tyres marks a pivotal point in its journey, reinforcing its strategic vision for growth.
