Blue Bay Travel’s group of self-employed Personal Travel Consultants (PTCs) are experiencing substantial growth, projected to extend through the year’s end. The team has seen a remarkable 28% increase in sales on a year-on-year basis up to September, as reported during their second annual conference in Majorca.
Passenger numbers for Blue Bay Travel have climbed by 15% compared to the previous year. This increase is seen as a reflection of the PTCs’ dedicated efforts and the strategic guidance from business development executives Vikki Griffin and Louise Rothwell, who have been pivotal in reinforcing the group’s business foundations.
A significant shift has been observed where individual PTCs are procuring their own sales leads. This development is resulting in self-generated sales contributing to 60% of total transactions, with this figure climbing to 81% solely in cruise sales. Abbie Heaton, the group’s manager, highlights this achievement as indicative of a highly motivated and effective body of agents.
The financial benefit for PTCs is further highlighted by the structure in place where they receive a 65% commission on sales stemming from their self-generated leads. This shift has not only enhanced the agents’ earnings but also underscores a thriving independent business model within the homeworking environment.
The upward trajectory of Blue Bay’s PTCs highlights their adeptness in cultivating self-sustaining and successful careers.
