- This initiative follows the success of flexible dining arrangements on the Sun Princess, leading to a fleet-wide implementation by September.
- Cruisers can book their preferred dining options in advance via the app, ensuring a tailored dining experience.
- The change is a response to passenger demand for more personalised and flexible dining choices.
Princess Cruises has announced a significant restructuring of its dining options, aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and flexibility throughout their journey. The move introduces three distinct dining options: guests can opt for a traditional dining experience with early and late seating options, a reservable option with set table times, or a walk-in anytime system that allows guests to dine at their convenience, enhancing the adaptability of mealtime arrangements.
The success of these dining choices on the newly launched Sun Princess has prompted Princess Cruises to extend this offering across its entire fleet, with full implementation expected by 14 September. This change underscores the company’s commitment to improving its services based on passenger feedback and demand.
Beginning 17 June, passengers will be empowered to use the company’s app to secure their preferred dining arrangements ahead of their cruise. This seamless integration allows guests to maintain the same waiter, table, and dining time each night if they choose the traditional option, or alternatively, to explore more flexible dining settings, selecting different table sizes and dining times.
Sami Kohen, Vice-President of Food and Beverage, highlighted the favourable passenger response: ‘Our guests have been delighted with the dining flexibility aboard Sun Princess, and we’re pleased to extend the concept to all the other ships in our fleet. This approach ensures that whether guests prefer consistent seating arrangements or wish to vary their dining experience, their preferences are effortlessly accommodated.’
The restructuring of dining options by Princess Cruises offers a more accommodating and personalised experience for its guests, reflecting the evolving preferences of modern travellers.
