Salt House Tapas, a well-regarded brand originating from Liverpool, is preparing to launch its second restaurant in the city of Chester. This development has garnered attention as the establishment will inhabit the premises previously occupied by Boheme on Bridge Street, a location familiar to those in the region.
The new restaurant will boast a seating capacity of 90 people indoors, with an additional al fresco dining area capable of accommodating 40 patrons. This expansion is set to enhance the dining experience in Chester, offering a mixture of indoor and outdoor settings for customers to enjoy their meals.
The culinary offerings at Salt House Tapas will be noteworthy for their contemporary seasonal approach, curated by head chef Laszlo Nagy. Nagy brings a wealth of expertise, recognised by a Green Michelin Star and two AA rosettes, and having reached the semi-finals in the North West heats of the BBC’s Great British Menu.
Matt Robinson and Luke Creedon, the co-owners of Salt House Tapas, expressed their enthusiasm for extending their brand to Chester. Creedon, who transitioned from serving as an executive chef to part-ownership, highlighted the vigorous and thriving nature of Chester’s food culture, and their intention to deliver the same quality of food, drink, and service exemplified in their Liverpool location.
Salt House Tapas is planning to operate every day of the week, opening from midday. They will provide a competitively priced lunchtime menu at £17.95 daily in addition to their a la carte options. However, a definitive date for the official opening is yet to be announced, as reported by Cheshire Live.
The expansion of Salt House Tapas into Chester signals a promising addition to the city’s flourishing culinary landscape.
