Azamara Cruises has formally welcomed Peter Ryan as its new Business Development Manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland. With this appointment, Azamara aims to bolster its strategic relationships within the cruise industry throughout these regions.
Peter Ryan, who has amassed over 25 years of experience within the travel sector, transitions to Azamara following a successful tenure at Celebrity Cruises. During his time there, Ryan was pivotal in managing head office accounts, contributing significantly to ship launches — including the introduction of Celebrity Beyond — and facilitating ship visits for trade partners during peak seasons in Southampton.
Stuart Pearce, Azamara’s Head of Trade Sales in the UK, articulated the company’s excitement in having Ryan join their team. He emphasised Ryan’s extensive knowledge and established connections within the cruise industry, which are anticipated to fortify Azamara’s network of independent, consortia, and retail travel agents. Pearce observed that many of these agents already enjoy a strong rapport with Ryan.
