Pall-Ex, a company based in Leicestershire, has strategically appointed Ellie Harman as the new international quality and compliance manager. Ellie Harman started her journey with Pall-Ex as an apprentice in 2018 and has progressed to this critical role. Working from the company’s headquarters in Ellistown, she is set to collaborate primarily with Pall-Ex UK’s shareholder members and customers, ensuring compliance with international export regulations and customs clearance across Europe.
Ellie Harman’s role is particularly significant in the wake of Brexit, where uncertainty about freight forwarding to Europe has posed challenges. Harman herself states, “I look forward to educating our members and engaging with our partners about the strengths and capabilities of our international service.” Her task is to provide clarity and direction, aiming to boost confidence among Pall-Ex’s members and their clients.
The Pall-Ex Group has invested considerably in its IT infrastructure and international service offerings, expanding both in the UK and across Europe. This development supports not only their UK clientele but also international clients, enhancing service capabilities with advancements in cross-border visibility and track & trace systems. A significant milestone in this expansion strategy is the launch of new networks, including Pall-Ex Ireland, positioning the company as a leading service provider throughout Europe.
Sue Buchanan, the international director at Pall-Ex, expresses her enthusiasm for Harman’s appointment, stating, “We want our entire membership to have the confidence to introduce international services to their customer-base and seek additional cross-border volume. This will enable SMEs around the UK to reach new markets and become established international exporters.” Pall-Ex’s European network currently offers dedicated distribution across over 30 European countries, with domestic networks in key locations like France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania, and Ireland.
With Ellie Harman’s strategic appointment, Pall-Ex is poised to enhance its international operations and fortify cross-border trade confidence.
