Not Just Travel is gearing up for its first overseas Platinum Get-together, an event poised to bring together top-performing travel consultants. The event is scheduled to take place soon aboard a luxurious cruise departing from Barcelona. Attendees will enjoy stops at notable destinations, such as Toulon, Marina De Carrera, Rome, and Ibiza, between the 8th and 15th of September. The journey will occur on the Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, offering an exquisite backdrop for the gathering.
Well-known TV personality Eamonn Holmes, along with other celebrity brand ambassadors like Daley Thomson and Hayley Sparkes, will be present at the event. This prestigious gathering is dedicated to consultants who have achieved or surpassed Platinum status, reflecting an impressive commission range of £20,000 to £2 million during their tenure with the company. Around 130 esteemed travel consultants are expected, alongside senior management and business development managers.
Steve Witt and Paul Harrison, the founders of Not Just Travel and The Travel Franchise, are scheduled to address the gathering. They will share their visionary outlook for the company’s future, announce key additions to their management team, and introduce a ‘Consultant Forum’. This forum represents a collaborative assembly of six travel consultants aimed at giving a voice to the broader NJT community. According to Harrison, the event deviates from a conventional conference, prioritising celebration, appreciation, and collaboration over typical proceedings.
Delegates of the event will engage with about 20 significant trade partners. As Harrison emphasised, maintaining robust relationships is at the heart of Not Just Travel’s operational success. The event is not merely about updates and networking, but about solidifying ties and exploring new avenues for professional growth.
Following the Platinum Get-together, additional events termed ‘Elite Experience’ international retreats are on the agenda. These training-intensive sessions for groups of 30 agents will occur in Mauritius and Jamaica, led by Witt and Harrison, respectively. The retreats will provide strategic guidance, focusing beyond traditional travel agent roles, branching into personal development and business expansion strategies. These experiences are bundled within an exclusive membership package.
Harrison encapsulated the ethos of these endeavours, stating, “We listen and give them a say and they can feel part of crafting what the future will look like.” His remarks underline the value placed on agent input in shaping the company’s strategic direction.
The Platinum Get-together and subsequent retreats exemplify Not Just Travel’s commitment to fostering professional growth and enhancing their consultants’ success.
