Oshkosh, a United States-based manufacturer known for its industrial vehicles, has successfully completed the acquisition of Ausa, a Spanish company based in Barcelona specialising in construction machinery. The strategic acquisition includes Ausa’s expansive 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility and approximately 350 employees, providing Oshkosh with access to a network of 200 equipment dealers globally.
Oshkosh’s incorporation of Ausa’s resources is expected to considerably expand its operational capabilities. Ausa, founded in 1956, initially focused on producing microcars but pivoted in the 1960s to specialising in site dumpers and all-terrain forklifts. This diverse background enriches Oshkosh’s product offerings, particularly enhancing JLG’s line of telehandlers and complementing acquisitions like the Hinowa line of tracked dumpers and forklifts that were integrated earlier this year.
JLG President Mahesh Narang emphasised the alignment of core values between the two companies, highlighting their mutual dedication to safety, productivity, and sustainability.
