Oceania Cruises has marked a notable milestone with the introduction of Vista, their first Allura-class ship, delivered at a ceremony at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Genoa, Italy. This event not only showcases the culmination of advanced shipbuilding techniques but also heralds a new chapter for the company’s fleet. According to the announcement, “several firsts in the realms of dining, accommodation and guest experience” are part of this innovative ship.
Among the standout features aboard Vista are its standard staterooms, touted as the “most spacious” in the industry. Such accommodations aim to redefine passenger comfort and set new standards for luxury at sea. Additionally, the ship introduces three pioneering dining concepts, enhancing the culinary journey for all guests. The crew-to-guest ratio promises a personalised service experience, with two staff members attending to every three guests on board.
On 8 May, Vista is set to be christened by its godmother, the renowned Italian-American chef and television personality, Giada De Laurentiis. This ceremony will unfold in Valletta, Malta, marking a ceremonial inception for Vista’s operational journey. Following this christening, the vessel will embark on a summer sojourn across the Mediterranean, a region known for historical and cultural richness.
Post its Mediterranean explorations, Vista is scheduled to journey to Canada and New England, offering guests the allure of the Atlantic coast. The itinerary extends into the winter months, where passengers can venture into serene Caribbean, Mexico, and Central American destinations, offering diverse landscapes and climates for exploration.
