Newcastle Building Society has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of Amanda Shepherd as its new group chief operating officer. The move comes as the Society continues to advance its ambitious strategy for growth and investment.
Amanda Shepherd joins the Society from Hargreaves Lansdown, where she previously held the role of chief operating officer. She brings a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, including a 26-year tenure at Barclays, where she led retail, SME, and operational services across the North of the UK. In her new position, Shepherd will oversee the operational support and technology functions for the Newcastle Building Society group.
