- ATS stands out as the only operator of two such vehicles in Scotland.
ATS, a reputable flooring contractor based in Fife, has recently taken delivery of its second Putzmeister Transmix truck, significantly enhancing its service capabilities. The acquisition aligns with the company’s growth strategy as it aims to meet increasing demand from its expanding client base.
The newly acquired 44-tonne German-manufactured truck is specifically engineered for the delivery of thermal lightweight aggregate, an advantageous non-combustible insulation alternative suitable for floors, roofs, and voids. With the capacity to deliver up to 100 cubic metres of insulation daily, the truck underscores ATS’s capability to meet substantial construction project demands efficiently.
Since its inception in 2014, ATS has established itself as a key player in the industry, functioning as a licensed installer for several renowned firms. As part of the Energystore Group, following its acquisition by the Northern Ireland conglomerate in June, ATS now includes a fleet of specialised vehicles that uniquely positions it to manage large-scale projects with greater flexibility and precision.
According to Jason Lister, the managing director of ATS, the addition of the second Transmix truck alleviates the pressure typically associated with managing multiple projects concurrently. He states, ‘The Transmix trucks provide the most controlled and economical method of delivering TLA, and we are the sole operators of these trucks in Scotland.’ This strategic investment directly responds to the growing demand for high-quality, gap-free non-thermal bridging flooring solutions.
The company’s approach to sustainability is evident through its on-site, mix-to-order operations, which minimise waste and negate the necessity for multiple delivery trucks. This method significantly improves the efficiency and quality of their delivery processes. ATS’s capability for installing flowing screeds has seen a marked increase, positioning the company well for anticipated growth as it moves towards the new year.
ATS’s strategic investment in its second Transmix truck bolsters its standing in the flooring sector, reinforcing its growth trajectory and commitment to sustainability.
