Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has announced the construction of its fifth Nile riverboat, scheduled for completion in late 2025. The riverboat promises to redefine luxury cruising with its sophisticated design and amenities. This new vessel will feature two dining options – an indoor and an outdoor restaurant – offering meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, it will house a spa, a gymnasium, comfortable social spaces, and an inviting swimming pool along with a sundeck for relaxation.
The new riverboat exemplifies opulence, providing travellers with 32 cabins that are designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to savour the beauty of the Nile from the comfort of their rooms. Each cabin is equipped with Juliet balconies, marble bathrooms, and high-quality 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, ensuring a sumptuous stay. Furthermore, two exclusive presidential suites will offer private decks that include outdoor hot tubs, catering to those who seek extra luxury.
In alignment with A&K’s tradition of offering insightful and culturally rich travel experiences, the riverboat will be available for private charters, extending tailored Nile cruise experiences to discerning travellers. Already operating four boutique boats on the Nile, A&K continues to enhance its reputation for pioneering luxury Nile cruises.
Cristina Levis, the chief executive of A&K Travel Group, emphasised the company’s profound knowledge of Egypt and luxury river cruises, stating, “Nobody knows Egypt better than Abercrombie & Kent. We pioneered luxury Nile cruises more than four decades ago, and every year we continue to elevate this enchanting voyage.” This unwavering commitment to excellence is evident as construction progresses at the Massara Shipyard.
The project signifies a strategic investment, handled by A&K’s Amr Badr, managing director of Arabia and Egypt. With the completion expected by autumn 2025, this new riverboat will add a significant asset to A&K’s dedicated fleet navigating the historic Nile, a waterway instrumental in Egypt’s rich history.
This upcoming luxury riverboat underscores Abercrombie & Kent’s dedication to offering premier Nile cruise experiences.
