Raworths, a distinguished law firm located in Harrogate, has unveiled its new joint leadership team for the trusts, wills, and estates department. Partners Alison Walker and Sam Jenner have assumed leadership roles in the 23-member team, succeeding Rachel Tunnicliffe, who has been at the helm for ten years. Under Tunnicliffe’s leadership, the team achieved the prestigious ‘Out of London Practice of the Year’ award at the Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Awards 2024, a recognition based entirely on client and contact feedback.
This transition coincides with Rachel Tunnicliffe’s decision to devote more time to her responsibilities as Raworths’ senior partner and head of private client services. She states her commitment to continue working closely with her long-established clients, providing expert guidance on wills, trusts, and succession planning. Rachel expressed her pride in the team’s accomplishments, remarking, “I’m so proud of this incredible team. On the back of achieving national recognition…now is the perfect time to hand over the reins. Alison and Sam each bring a unique set of skills and knowledge which together make for an inspirational leadership team.”
Alison Walker, associated with Raworths since 2015, specializes in a range of services including wills, trusts, and succession planning. Her expertise extends to wealth structuring and tax advice for business owners, as well as the administration of intricate estates, particularly those involving business interests and overseas property.
Meanwhile, Sam Jenner, who joined the firm a year prior to Alison, is proficient in succession planning, estate administration, family investment companies, and tax issues. Furthermore, he plays a significant role in spearheading the firm’s IT projects. Both Alison and Sam are committed to mentoring junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development within the firm.
Alison expressed her gratitude for the leadership opportunity, stating, “I’d like to thank Raworths for this opportunity. Rachel has been an inspirational leader over the last ten years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside Sam to oversee the future direction of the team, whilst providing the very best service to our clients.” Sam also highlighted the importance of mentorship and teamwork, adding, “I have really enjoyed mentoring junior team members and as joint head of TWE, I hope to play an even bigger role in the development of the next generation of talented lawyers.”
The newly appointed leadership at Raworths promises to uphold the firm’s distinguished service standards while fostering innovation and growth.
