Daly, who previously led business marketing at The Growth Company, will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of various marketing and communication projects. Her extensive career spans over 21 years in the marketing and public relations sectors, both in Manchester and London.
Daly’s appointment comes at a time when Start Communication is managing marketing initiatives for a diverse array of clients, including the Ethical Supply Chain Program, Envair Technology, Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, Manchester Metropolitan University, Verastar, and gunnercooke. Her experience is expected to enhance the consultancy’s ability to deliver strategic marketing and communication outcomes for these organisations.
Rachel Chesters, managing director at Start Communication, highlighted the challenges faced by businesses navigating complex marketing landscapes. According to her, companies often require marketers with specific expertise or need support for urgent projects and campaigns. Start Communication addresses these challenges by forming specialised teams tailored to the unique needs of each campaign, utilising a network of over 50 seasoned professionals, including digital experts and designers.
Chesters expressed confidence in Daly’s capabilities, stating, “The businesses we work with are grappling with a range of marketing challenges. They may need a marketer with a very specific niche or skillset, or require support to deliver an urgent project or campaign. Or they might be looking for that strategic layer of expertise, to help with the marketing planning process or develop additional marketing and comms capabilities.” Her statement reflects the consultancy’s commitment to delivering precise and effective solutions for their clients.
In response to her new role, Daly remarked on the potential and ambition of Start Communication, expressing her enthusiasm for contributing to the company’s growth plans. “I’m thrilled to be working with Rachel and the wider Start team at such an exciting time for the business. The model has huge potential, particularly in delivering value for businesses, and I’m looking forward to helping to drive Start’s ambitious plans for growth,” she said, underscoring her readiness to make an impact.
This strategic hire underscores Start Communication’s dedication to expanding its expertise and strengthening client relationships.
