MSC Cruises is making waves by ensuring that football enthusiasts do not miss out on the UEFA Euro 2024 matches, even while cruising. The cruise line has announced it will be broadcasting the matches live across its ships in the Mediterranean and northern European waters. This initiative will cater to guests travelling between June 14 and July 14, coinciding with the tournament’s schedule.
The UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, held every four years, will see participation from 24 European countries. Recognising the passion for football among their clientele, MSC Cruises has devised a plan to show the games on board. Games will be screened in designated bars and lounges, with some ships offering the additional excitement of poolside viewing.
MSC Virtuosa, a key vessel based out of Southampton during the summer, is set to enhance the football experience with a series of thematic activities. Travellers can engage in table football, take part in penalty shoot-out challenges, and test their knowledge in trivia competitions. Furthermore, guests have the opportunity to participate in a team shirt design contest, with prizes awaiting the most creative entries.
Antonio Paradiso, vice-president of international sales and managing director of MSC Cruises UK and Ireland, remarked on the initiative: “We are always listening to what our guests want, and we know how popular football is to our British customers.” This underscores MSC Cruises’ commitment to tailoring their offerings to guest preferences, ensuring an enriching and entertaining voyage.
MSC Cruises is aligning its services with passenger interests, offering a unique way to enjoy the Euro 2024 on high seas, ensuring no fan misses the action.
