MSC Cruises has launched an innovative ‘Open Booking’ programme, allowing onboard passengers to secure future cruise plans with remarkable flexibility. This programme enables guests to reserve a spot for future travel without immediately deciding on itinerary, vessel, or specific sailing date. This dynamic option complements MSC’s Future Cruise programme, which began in the summer of 2023.
By paying a deposit of £100 per person while still aboard, guests receive a certificate granting them up to a year to choose their preferred sailing date. Significant incentives include up to £200 onboard credit per cabin if selection is made within 60 days. Even if final decisions occur within a year, guests still receive up to £100 in credit.
The inclusivity of the programme extends beyond passengers, benefiting travel agents who initially made the cruise reservations. Upon confirmation of the ship and sail date, these agents receive full commission. This not only supports travel agents but also ensures a seamless transition for guests planning their next trip.
Furthermore, the open booking can be used as a thoughtful gift for family or friends, providing flexibility before selecting specific travel details.
