A mortgage advice firm has won a regional award, which recognises the essential support from financial professionals to the property sector.
The team at Mortgage Style in Portbury is celebrating after winning the Bristol Property Award in the financial category for a second time.
Managing director Marcus Robinson said he was proud of the group – which has more than 100 years’ experience in the industry between them.
Marcus, who founded the company nearly 20 years ago, said: “We’re proud to be taking home the financial title this year.
“The team works hard to source deals for clients, including in challenging circumstances, with a great success rate.”
Communication
The company, based in The Sheepway, has access to exclusive deals which are not available on the High Street and can find solutions even for hard to place mortgages.
Marcus, who previously worked in finance for 16 years, said: “We work with clients ranging from the first-time buyer to a multi-million-pound property portfolio and find suitable deals based on their needs and circumstances.”
The team pride themselves on strong customer service, keeping clients informed throughout the process.
Marcus, who studied business and finance at the University of the West of England (UWE), said: “We believe it’s important to stay in touch and keep clients informed on progress, as well as chasing up the relevant parties on their behalf.”
Award winning
Mortgage Style, which has been shortlisted in the financial category each year since the award’s inception in 2020, also won in 2022.
The judges from the Bristol Property Awards said: “Mortgage Style is an innovative firm, clearly set for growth with its laser focus on delivering for customers. This is backed by its smooth and broader service.”
And the firm was recognised by a national award in the summer, winning ‘Best Financial Services Supplier’ for its hard work, skill and creativity in the solutions they devise for clients.
The HMO awards celebrates ‘exceptional contributions of individuals and businesses’ in the house in multiple occupation sector.
HMOs are more complicated than standard buy-to-let properties as there are additional practical issues, such as providing enough bathrooms and kitchen space for the tenants.
Marcus, who received awards for best performing adviser during his time in financial services, said: “We spend a lot of time working on HMO deals, which includes liaising with lenders about their products and what’s available.
“It’s vital we stay on top of their rates, policies and lending criteria so we’re ready to respond quickly when a client needs to make an investment decision.”
