Renowned chef Michel Roux is poised to engage in a remarkable collaboration with Cunard, presenting a series of ‘Le Gavroche at Sea’ residencies scheduled for 2025. The culinary venture will span four select voyages aboard Cunard’s distinguished Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2 vessels, signifying a renewal of this prestigious partnership.
Onboard, guests are anticipated to indulge in exquisite seafood-inspired tasting menus under Roux’s expert guidance. These exclusive dining affairs will take place in the elegant settings of The Verandah and Sir Samuels restaurants, with each ship hosting two of the residencies. The Queen Mary 2 will initiate this series with a five-night engagement starting 6 April, featuring delicacies reflective of Roux’s esteemed culinary heritage.
Subsequent residencies aboard the Queen Anne on 11 May will continue to highlight Roux’s penchant for seafood specialities and beloved culinary classics. These gastronomic events provide participants an opportunity to immerse themselves in a voyage abundant with finely curated flavours while traversing the scenic Norwegian Fjords.
The exclusive nature of these dining experiences is underscored by their limited availability, accommodating up to 60 diners in The Verandah and 50 in Sir Samuels per evening, and requiring advance reservations. Supplementing these affairs, Roux will also conduct live cooking demonstrations and provide insights into his extensive career during guest speaker sessions in the ships’ Royal Court Theatre.
Adding to the allure, Cunard recently celebrated a record-breaking booking period following the lauded debut of the Queen Anne in May, with approximately 50,000 attendees commemorating the event. This success vividly underscores the significant anticipation for the upcoming culinary partnership with Roux.
Michel Roux’s renewed partnership with Cunard reinforces a shared commitment to delivering unparalleled culinary experiences at sea.
