Gavin Sherratt, known for co-founding the agency Mashbo, is embarking on a new endeavour with the launch of his enterprise, GoodShip. This initiative is described as a collaboration agency, a model focused on assembling creative and technical teams to cater to the growth ambitions of its partner clients. Such an approach signifies a departure from traditional agency roles by embedding itself within client organisations to foster business-enhancing strategies and solutions.
GoodShip further differentiates itself by offering a collaborative consultancy service. In this role, the agency operates not merely as a service provider but as an integral part of a client’s ongoing projects. The goal is to leverage Sherratt’s extensive 27 years of experience in the tech and digital sectors to support management teams and founders in crucial decision-making processes, facilitating the accurate scoping of projects and constructing resilient foundations for future initiatives. This strategic collaboration aims to ensure the long-term success of the ventures it supports.
The formal launch of GoodShip will take place on September 19, accompanied by an event under its community brand, KiniShip, in collaboration with Growth Platform. The event will be held at the Liverpool Slush’d pre-conference, held at Ryde Café on Mann St, where admission is complimentary, and tickets are available through the GoodShip website. This launch signifies not only the birth of a new venture but also the introduction of KinShip, a revitalisation of Sherratt’s previous network, Creative Kitchen.
Reflecting on this new chapter, Sherratt commented on the transition from Mashbo and the exciting opportunities GoodShip presents, stating: ‘Earlier this year, Mashbo’s founders decided to explore our own missions after nearly 14 years working together, so launching GoodShip is an exciting, fresh challenge for me.’ He elaborated that over the summer, the company has constructed a robust network of creatives and developers at its core, welcoming the potential for new talent as it continues to expand.
Sherratt also expressed eagerness to unveil upcoming projects being undertaken with GoodShip’s inaugural clients. He emphasised the agency’s focus on collaborating with clients whose objectives align with business and social challenges, areas where the intersection of creativity and technology can drive meaningful and transformative growth.
GoodShip ushers in a promising new era for Sherratt, amplifying potential for creative and technological collaboration and growth.
