Leading independent M&A advisory practice Marktlink has strengthened its London presence with three strategic appointments. The move comes only three months after opening the hub in the capital and reaffirms Marktlink’s commitment to becoming the go-to independent firm for M&A advisory services in Europe – having already established the title of being the largest of its kind on the mainland.
George Tzimas has been appointed as M&A director. He joins with over 11 years of experience within corporate finance and investment banking covering both private and public market transactions, across a wide range of sectors. His new leading role will see him advise clients and manage the execution of transactions, as well as expand the business and services of the London office.
Noud Janssens has been appointed as senior M&A manager. He brings extensive experience in corporate finance, having worked at YES Corporate Finance and Impulse, where he successfully led multiple equity and convertible debt capital raises, M&A transactions, and asset deals across various sectors. In his new role, Noud will focus on business development, securing new deals, and managing processes, helping to grow Marktlink’s presence in the greater London region and beyond.
Ayo Ajibabde joins Marktlink as a consultant, bringing a strong foundation in valuations, financial modelling and strategic advisory. Ayo is ACA-qualified with experience at KPMG LLP and Buzzacott LLP. Her expertise in advanced financial modelling will enhance Marktlink’s capabilities in delivering tailored solutions to meet nuanced clients’ needs in an evolving market landscape.
Victoria Ansell, managing partner of the Marktlink London office, commented on the new appointments: “I am delighted to welcome George, Ayo and Noud to the Marktlink London team. It has been an exciting few months and we are already up and running with new client work and a strong pipeline starting to build.
“They all have excellent skills and experience and will be valuable additions to the team – each bringing their own strengths and entrepreneurial spirit to add value to what we can offer our clients.”
Additionally, Marc Labbett has been appointed as director of Marktlink Exit Ready across the UK, to focus on supporting entrepreneurs in preparing for M&A transactions.
With a strong background in M&A, management consultancy and international logistics, Marc brings a wealth of experience and network to the leadership position. The Exit Ready team will help prepare entrepreneurs and their companies for sale by providing expert advice and support to implement a pre-exit strategy. This will entail a detailed analysis of current and future business models, financial performance, enterprise value, and optimisations that can increase a company’s marketability and value.
Marc commented on his appointment: “This opportunity marks an exciting new chapter in my entrepreneurial career and I am looking forward to contributing to the company’s continued success and ambitious growth trajectory.
“My goal is to drive innovation, deliver value, and enhance strategic growth initiatives for both my active clients and within the business itself.”
Marktlink’s strategic offering and new team hires underscore its growth ambitions as it establishes a significant presence in London and across the UK – aiming to build on its already-established position as a pan-European leader in the M&A consultancy landscape. The firm is planning to expand its London team into a boutique of 20 to 30 professionals in the near term.
