Marella Cruises has launched its first-ever trade incentive, dubbed ‘Make it on Marella’. This programme is set to run from 1 May to 31 December 2024, allowing travel agents to vie for a spot on the esteemed Marella Explorer 2 Caribbean itinerary. The incentive offers 25 coveted places for agents to experience a week-long cruise, showcasing Marella Cruises’ vibrant destinations.
The Colours of the Caribbean itinerary will commence its voyage on 11 March 2025. It departs from the new homeport of La Romana in the Dominican Republic and will make port calls at several exotic locations, including Philipsburg in St Maarten, Roseau in Dominica, St John’s in Antigua, Road Town in the British Virgin Islands, and Samana in the Dominican Republic. This route offers agents an immersive experience into the tropical appeal of the Caribbean islands.
Winning participants from this incentive will benefit from a comprehensive package. Marella Cruises ensures that successful agents will enjoy flights, transfers, and tips as part of their award. Furthermore, an all-inclusive treatment aboard the ship allows agents to indulge in the varied food and drink options provided on the cruise, offering a holistic view of the services their clients might enjoy.
The experience does not end with the cruise itself. In an effort to fully acquaint agents with their offerings, Marella Cruises, alongside TUI representatives, will host the agents on board. This is designed to provide a thorough immersion into the cruise line’s product and offerings.
Entry into this programme requires agents to submit their bookings via a digital platform, where a leaderboard system has been introduced. This system enables participants to monitor their competitive standing throughout the duration of the incentive programme, fostering a sense of healthy competition among travel professionals.
Marella Cruises’ initiative marks a significant step in enhancing agent engagement and promoting its Caribbean cruise offerings.
