Manchester-based accountancy firm, TR Forensic Accountants, has announced a major expansion into South Asia, launching a recruitment drive to support its newly created financial division.
The firm, which specialises in forensic accountants and expert witness services, has hired 50 new data analysts in a bid to enhance its operations and aid victims of financial mis-selling. Most of these new recruits will be based in Lahore, Pakistan, while some will work from Okara, further boosting the company’s existing teams in Manchester and the Middle East.
Founder and CEO Tanzeel Rehman, originally from Okara, expressed his pride in expanding into Pakistan, highlighting the personal significance of creating job opportunities in his home country.
“Going global has been fantastic for us as a business, which was always something I wanted to do,” Rehman said.
“By hiring additional staff in Pakistan, we have generated more opportunities for people in the region. Given it was the country I was born in, it makes me feel even more proud.”
Addressing Financial Mis-Selling
TR Forensic Accountants’ new financial division is part of its broader strategy to assist victims of financial mis-selling, providing expert advice and support. Financial mis-selling occurs when individuals receive poor financial advice, have risks inadequately explained to them, or are not informed of hidden fees associated with certain financial products.
As part of its affordability campaign, the firm is dedicated to helping victims secure redress and recover from poor investment decisions. With a team of newly recruited data analysts, the firm will be able to better guide companies on investment strategies and manage financial projects, solidifying its reputation for forensic accountancy services.
The firm’s expanded workforce in Pakistan is expected to play a key role in this mission, providing detailed insights into complex financial cases. This will allow TR Forensic Accountants to continue offering top-tier services for legal practices and clients facing civil cases.
Rapid Growth and Global Expansion
Founded in May 2022, TR Forensic Accountants initially provided a variety of general accountancy services, but quickly carved out a niche in forensic accountants services, particularly in expert witness report writing. In its first year, the firm signed 17 clients, and this number has since more than tripled to 56, underscoring its successful journey from local roots to global prominence.
The firm’s rapid expansion into Oman and Pakistan, combined with the recent recruitment drive in South Asia, marks a significant milestone in TR Forensic Accountants’ international growth. According to Rehman, the company is not planning to slow down, as it looks to further leverage its global presence and reach new markets.
Rehman’s leadership has been instrumental in steering the company toward success, despite personal challenges. Growing up in poverty, Rehman had to work various jobs to make ends meet before he could pursue his passion for accounting. His journey to building a thriving international business has been one filled with perseverance.
“It has been a tough journey, but we have achieved so much over the last two years,” Rehman said. “What matters much more than the numbers for us are the people: it has always been about forming those relationships and building trust.”
Focus on People and Authenticity
As TR Forensic Accountants continues to grow, Rehman emphasises that the firm’s core values remain unchanged. The company is committed to maintaining its authenticity and prioritising its clients, despite the challenges that come with global expansion. “We are committed to retaining our authenticity in the future and doing what we have always done: welcoming change when it comes and prioritising our clients first in everything we do,” Rehman added.
The firm’s expansion into South Asia not only helps TR Forensic Accountants enhance its global footprint but also brings opportunities to regions like Lahore and Okara, where economic growth and job creation are sorely needed. Rehman’s pride in contributing to his homeland’s development is palpable, and it remains a key motivator for the company’s continued success.
Looking ahead, Rehman and his team are focused on scaling their operations while staying true to their mission of delivering exceptional services to clients. “We hope to continue our growth, leveraging our global presence to deliver exceptional service and create meaningful opportunities wherever we operate,” he said.
With its focus on providing specialised services, particularly for victims of financial mis-selling, TR Forensic Accountants is well-positioned to continue making a significant impact in the world of financial and forensic accounting.
