Manchester’s One Agency is embarking on a strategic partnership with a prominent American energy drink brand, C4 Energy, in a bid to establish a significant foothold in the competitive European market. C4 Energy, which has already garnered a substantial following in the United States, identified Europe as its next strategic frontier and has enlisted One Agency to facilitate this transatlantic expansion.
The move to capture the European market is fuelled by insights into consumer habits, particularly those of Gen Z, which, in the UK, notably comprises 30% of regular energy drink consumers. Moreover, 87% of this demographic reportedly engages in exercise at least three times weekly, highlighting them as a prime audience for C4 Energy’s integrated marketing campaign.
To achieve widespread recognition, One Agency’s social media team has assumed control of C4’s European and Middle Eastern accounts across several platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The effort also extends to introducing C4 Energy to X, previously known as Twitter, marking a new chapter in the brand’s digital presence.
In a bid to further solidify the brand’s visibility among Gen Z, One Agency has deployed a targeted YouTube advertising strategy. This approach focuses on placements within high-engagement sports channels such as The Running Channel, X Games, Virgin Media Sport, Sky Sports, Amazon Prime Video Sport, and Formula 1, ensuring that C4 Energy adverts reach those with an interest in sports and fitness.
Adding an experiential touch to their marketing efforts, One Agency has also executed a live event strategy through its sister company, One Events. A customised shipping container was transformed into an interactive C4 Energy sampling station, making its first appearance at London’s Summer Social. Attendees were treated to free samples of C4’s flagship energy drinks and pre-workout shots, offering a hands-on brand experience.
