Thwaites, a renowned manufacturer in the dumper truck sector, has recently clinched significant orders from HE Services and Tithegrove, showcasing its strong market position and appeal. This development highlights Thwaites’ capability to cater to large-scale demands effectively.
HE Services, leveraging the distribution network of Northamptonshire-based Shellplant, has placed a substantial order exceeding 100 Thwaites dumpers. This acquisition comprises a combination of 1-tonne Hi-Tip and 3-tonne hydrostatic machines, each equipped with immobilisers and trackers to enhance security and operational efficiency. Such strategic investment by HE Services underscores their commitment to maintaining an updated and secure fleet to meet operational demands.
On the other hand, Tithegrove, a Swindon-based groundworks and civil engineering firm, has ordered 22 Thwaites dumpers through distributor CBL. This order includes the pioneering introduction of the Thwaites 6-tonne hydrostatic, forward tip, cabbed machines into the market. Michael Lester, Tithegrove’s procurement director, explained the procurement decision was based on comprehensive research, prioritising quality, durability and residual value that aligns with both client needs and business objectives.
The decision by Tithegrove to manage construction equipment needs internally signifies a shift towards greater control over their logistical assets.
