Loch Lomond Travel, recently launched by the bus company McGills Group, has unveiled plans to partner with travel agents throughout the United Kingdom. This initiative is directed towards creating bespoke tours, thereby increasing sales from trade activities. These tailored tours will build on the company’s existing offerings of traditional packaged coach holidays that depart from various points in Scotland.
Travel agents will benefit from the ability to allocate up to 53 coach seats and create customised itineraries that cater to the specific needs and preferences of their clients. This innovative approach allows for local pickup locations to be integrated into the tour planning process, thus enhancing convenience and accessibility for travellers.
Chris Bond, the Managing Director, who has extensive experience with Tartan Travel, Caledonian Travel, and Barrhead Travel, is leading discussions to foster these partnerships. He believes in a balanced sales strategy that includes developing direct client relationships alongside agent engagements. His strategy also includes strategic partnerships with established players like Ramsay Travel.
The company has announced plans to introduce a comprehensive range of coach breaks that will eventually expand into Ireland and Europe. Ten pickup locations across Scotland, including cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Dundee, have been identified. Trips like the ‘In Search of the Northern Lights’, priced at a competitive rate, promise an engaging experience with comprehensive amenities.
By aiming for a considerable expansion with 25 new coaches and more available from sister companies, the group is setting a solid foundation for growth. Fluid pricing models and early booking rewards are part of the company’s innovative offerings. The forthcoming full website launch will further streamline bookings for travel agents.
Loch Lomond Travel’s collaboration with UK travel agents marks a pivotal step in broadening their bespoke tour services.
