Recognising the crucial importance of adept leadership in the firm’s core practice areas, Cristina Crețu has been appointed as a partner in the London office. Her extensive experience of 20 years in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) law, coupled with her expertise in data protection, renders her a pivotal asset during this transition. Cristina’s career includes influential roles such as working with Romania’s telecom regulatory authority (ANCOM) and holding significant positions with Deutsche Telekom’s Romanian subsidiary and Liberty Global in Romania. At MPR Partners, she continues to serve as a Senior Technology and Data Protection Consultant.
Meanwhile, the Bucharest office sees two pivotal promotions to managing associate level, enhancing its leadership in significant legal sectors. Flavia Ștefura, with over a decade of experience, is renowned for her contributions to the firm’s technology and life sciences practice groups. Her skills span intellectual property, data privacy, and competition matters. Flavia’s educational background from Paris I Pantheon–Sorbonne and Stockholm University in European Intellectual Property Law underlines her expertise. Recognised for her excellence in intellectual property, she remains a valuable advisor to high-profile clients across diverse industries.
Diana Borcean, also elevated to managing associate, brings her expertise in real estate, construction, and energy sectors to the forefront of the firm’s operations. Diana has demonstrated a formidable ability to handle major transactions and effectively coordinate legal teams. As a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania, she is well-positioned to leverage her knowledge in corporate governance and M&A. Her ongoing contributions to important publications reflect her standing as a thought leader in her field.
