Ashbrook, a reputable plant hire company based in Lancashire, has significantly bolstered its fleet with the acquisition of 171 new mobile elevating work platforms. This strategic enhancement commenced in March and represents a mix of cutting-edge equipment, such as the GS E-Drive scissor lifts, electric rough-terrain scissor lifts, and both Z and S series boom lifts. These additions are designed to serve a wide range of Ashbrook’s clientele, spanning industries from pharmaceuticals to retail, and even extending to music festivals and safari parks.
Mike Ashbrook, the commercial director, commended the engineering prowess of Genie, highlighting their seamless collaboration with Ashbrook’s own technical teams. “The GS series supports our wide range of clients and covers all applications from pharmaceutical to retail to music festivals, safari parks, and many more,” he explained. Genie’s integration with Ashbrook’s team ensures maximised uptime and reliability for all clients.
The expansion includes the electric GS E-drive machines and several rough terrain scissor models, namely the GS-4069 RT, GS-4390 RT, and GS-5390 RT equipped with the Superdeck feature. This feature significantly enhances platform space and load capacity, enabling more efficient operations.
James Ashbrook, the managing director, praised the new hybrid FE and high-capacity Xtra Capacity (XC) boom lifts for their remarkable fuel efficiency and sustainability, stating they can sustain a full work week on a single tank of fuel. “This provides wonderful efficiency and sustainability for our clients,” he asserted, underlining the environmental benefits.
The Z-45 FE booms deliver impressive operational capabilities, with a working height of up to 15.92 metres and a platform capacity of 300 kg. Furthermore, the inclusion of the Z-45 XC articulating booms and the S-65 XC and S-85 XC telescopic booms offers unrestricted platform capacities, catering to diverse operational requirements efficiently. The model names, reflecting the platform heights, assure clients of their capacities to meet varied demands.
Ashbrook’s strategic fleet expansion underscores its dedication to innovation and service excellence.
