Journey Latin America has announced an ambitious expansion into North America, unveiling a new brand called Journeyscape. This brand is set to target the US and Canadian markets through sales starting July 15, marking a bold new chapter for the company.
Stepping outside its traditional confines of Central and South America, where it has curated personalised and small-group tours for 45 years, the launch of Journeyscape signals a strategic shift aimed at broadening its geographical footprint.
Journeyscape boasts a dedicated team with first-hand North American expertise, having crafted over 60 journeys that encompass both classic and off-the-beaten-path itineraries. These include routes such as the ‘Real Route 66 Extended,’ a comprehensive 22-day self-drive from Chicago to Santa Monica, and wildlife exploration voyages through the Inside Passage between Canada and Alaska.
Head of product Stuart Whittington expressed enthusiasm about the venture, highlighting partnerships with local experts to offer deep dives into North America’s cultural and natural wonders. He stated, “With the launch of Journeyscape, we’re bringing our expertise, philosophy, and passion to the US and Canada.”
The company’s managing director, Sarah Bradley, echoed this sentiment, noting the expansion as a natural progression for the brand. She mentioned that engaging loyal customers in these new destinations was a primary objective, expecting the programme to “mirror” the style and success previously enjoyed by Journey Latin America.
Itineraries range from a scenic self-drive in Alberta and British Columbia, priced at £3,840, to an immersive Native American Country tour guided by indigenous experts. Furthermore, the Alaskan Expedition Cruise offers an opportunity to explore Alaska’s remote environments and local communities.
Strategically planned over several years and built upon customer feedback, Journeyscape is poised to captivate a diverse audience, leveraging the burgeoning market trend of unique, experiential travel.
Journeyscape’s launch represents a significant and strategic expansion for Journey Latin America, positioning the brand within the thriving North American travel sector.
