- New inclusions feature a Victorian Christmas Market trip and a Turkey and Tinsel break.
- The offering is available via Just Go Holidays and National Holidays.
JG Travel Group has announced an unprecedented early launch of its UK festive breaks programme, releasing it over two months ahead of its usual schedule. This move comes in response to an increasing consumer trend towards booking festive trips sooner, aiming to secure their preferred holidays well in advance.
The programme comprises a variety of holiday packages, including visits to enchanting Christmas markets in November and December, “Turkey and Tinsel” themed breaks to bask in festive cheer, and “Twixmas” options catering to the relaxed interlude between Christmas and New Year. The much-anticipated New Year packages are expected to be available soon, giving travellers further options for their end-of-year celebrations.
Claire Dutton, trade sales manager at JG Travel Group, expressed her delight at making the core UK festive programme available for booking at such an early stage. Traditionally, while European festive packages and events, such as the famed Thursford Christmas Spectacular, would be market-ready by mid-January, the release of UK-specific tours followed only in April. However, recent consumer behaviour has indicated a shift towards earlier bookings, validating this strategic advancement in release dates.
Among the new offerings is a two-day coach trip to the Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market, scheduled for December 7, available from just £129. Alongside, a unique five-day Turkey and Tinsel getaway covering Eastbourne, Brighton, and the scenic south coast is set for departures every Monday from November 4 to December 2, priced attractively starting at £289. Additionally, a five-day special Christmas tour in Eastbourne, departing on December 23, promises to capture the festive spirit, with rates beginning from £399.
Excitingly, packages featuring iconic events like London’s Winter Wonderland and festive steam train carol experiences will be incorporated soon. Holiday brochures, detailing this expansive festive offering, are slated for distribution to agents in spring, ensuring comprehensive access to the full suite of holiday options.
This earlier-than-ever launch caters to the growing demand for advance festive planning.
