A global competition has been initiated to highlight and commend the most innovative fleet and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. Organised by Wialon, this competition is open to companies across the globe that have implemented projects using telematics and IoT technologies. The eligible projects must have been executed from the beginning of 2023 to the end of April 2024.
The submission process for participation is straightforward and incurs no cost, as entries can be submitted online until 2 August 2024. The selection panel, composed of industry experts, will evaluate the submissions based on criteria such as scalability, innovation, effectiveness, and practicability.
Up to 40 finalists will be revealed on 19 September 2024, followed by an awards ceremony on 13 October in Dubai where the winners will be announced. Apart from gaining recognition, winners will receive publicity within specialised sectors, as well as $1,000 designated for marketing campaigns. Additionally, the top four winners will be invited to exhibit at the Wialon IoT zone during any qualifying industry event worldwide or receive up to $2,000 in travel expenses.
This marks the fourth iteration of the competition, which has previously acknowledged projects across diverse industries, including cold-chain transportation, AI-based video telematics, and fleet management applications. Andrei Liatsetski, head of project implementation at Wialon, underscores the importance of this recognition for B2B tech companies often overlooked by mainstream public awareness. The competition continues to spotlight the industry’s best minds and most effective projects, with a concerted emphasis on diversity.
The competition is an excellent opportunity for innovators to gain recognition and advance the IoT and telematics industry.
