Ian Coyle, long-serving chief executive of HolidayTaxis Group, has decided to step down from his role after a commendable 14-year tenure. His departure, finalised at the end of December, was described as amicable, allowing Coyle a well-earned respite to prioritise family time and plan his next career move in the B2B travel sector.
Coyle, reflecting on his decision, stated: “I exited the business at the end of December. I have worked in B2B travel all my life and I will definitely come back.” Despite having no immediate plans, he expressed optimism about re-entering the industry by the year’s end.
During his tenure at HolidayTaxis, Coyle contributed significantly, transforming it through strategic integration and brand retention post-acquisition by Hotelbeds in 2018. This involved merging two transfer businesses and maintaining brand identities, a venture that proved successful despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic.
