Hurtigruten’s innovative reward scheme has been met with significant enthusiasm, attracting over 325 agents within a fortnight. This rapid uptake underlines the strong ties Hurtigruten has cultivated within the industry, as demonstrated by their substantial B2B revenue increase of 107% year-on-year, according to Iain Powell, the company’s vice-president of sales and marketing for the UK and EMEA.
The programme incentivises agents by awarding 100 points for signing up before the deadline of October 31, with additional points for booking Hurtigruten’s Original range and Signature bookings. This structured points system effectively translates into lifestyle vouchers, offering agents practical rewards usable across a wide array of UK retailers.
Iain Powell expressed his satisfaction with the scheme’s reception, noting the overwhelming response from the UK travel trade. “We’re incredibly encouraged by the overwhelming response we’ve seen from the UK travel trade,” he remarked, emphasising the enduring partnerships that Hurtigruten has built over the years.
Powell also highlighted the potential for this rewards programme to further solidify these relationships, supporting mutual success in the coming years. “We’re excited to see how this programme will help strengthen those partnerships even further and support our mutual success moving forward,” he added.
The scheme’s success within such a short period is a testament to Hurtigruten’s strategic engagement with agents and the travel community at large, showcasing their commitment to collaborative growth and innovation.
Hurtigruten’s reward scheme has swiftly become a pivotal element for enhancing agent partnerships and ensuring ongoing mutual success.
