HF Owen, a company with over 50 years of service in logistics across North Wales and beyond, has promoted two of its key staff members to senior leadership positions. Established in 1972, the firm originally began with modest resources, but has now grown significantly and was acquired by Delsol in 2020.
Geraint Walker, who joined Delsol in 2013 as a parcel van driver, has achieved a remarkable rise in the company. After acquiring his HGV licences and passing his Transport CPC exams in 2022, he stepped into the role of HF Owen’s Transport Manager before his recent promotion to Managing Director.
Walker acknowledges the importance of HF Owen’s membership in the Pallet-Track network, noting the company’s commitment to remaining a traditional haulier while also significantly enhancing its pallet services. He expressed his satisfaction at the firm’s market adaptability and development of the pallet business from scratch.
Suzi Kavanagh, who has been essential in the company’s financial administration and strategy, has been promoted to Finance Director. Her work on accounts, payroll, and cash flow management has significantly contributed to the firm’s financial health. Her recognition and new role reflect years of dedicated service and strategic insight.
Kavanagh emphasizes the strategic move towards increasing customer engagement through Pallet-Track, which has seen an uptick not only in pallet services but also in haulage business growth. Her enthusiasm for challenges is matched by the firm’s ambition to expand its reach.
Thus, the company is taking actionable steps to bolster its operations. This includes signing a new land lease and acquiring nine new vehicles specifically for expanding its Pallet-Track operations, indicating a clear trajectory towards greater capacity and service in the coming years.
Stuart Godman, CEO of Pallet-Track, commented on the positive impact of HF Owen’s involvement in their network, highlighting the deserving nature of both Walker’s and Kavanagh’s promotions. Godman projects continued success and thriving business for HF Owen.
HF Owen’s strategic leadership promotions and operational expansions signal a promising future in the logistics sector.
