Hays Travel’s Personal Travel Consultants have demonstrated an admirable commitment to charitable giving, successfully raising £5,000 for the Young Minds charity. This remarkable effort was realised through a strategic combination of a virtual bingo event and match funding provided by the Hays Travel Foundation, showcasing the power of community and corporate support.
With over 150 of Hays Travel’s homeworkers rallying together, the event saw substantial participation. Each consultant donated £10 per game throughout the bingo day, with contributions increasing to £20 for evening events. Such an enthusiastic response highlights the dedication of the consultants to a cause as significant as mental health in children.
The appeal of the bingo event was significantly enhanced by the generous donations from supplier partners including Vista, Celebrity Cruises, Beachcomber, and others. These partners provided a variety of attractive prizes such as hampers, vouchers, and coveted fam trips, which undoubtedly spurred greater involvement and enthusiasm among the agents.
This initiative was expertly coordinated by Tanya Cooper, head of Hays Travel’s Personal Travel Consultants, together with a dedicated working party of business development coaches. Their efforts to engage as many PTC agents as possible were highly successful, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and collective purpose.
The collective efforts and positive outcomes were further emphasised by Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, Hays Travel’s Chief Operating Officer, who expressed tremendous satisfaction with the event’s success and the unity it brought amongst the network of consultants.
The initiative not only met its financial targets but also reinforced the solidarity within Hays Travel’s consultant community.
