Harbour International Freight, a longstanding member of the Pall-Ex network, has recently earned a distinguished ‘AA’ accreditation for its services in ambient storage, distribution, and cross-docking, as per the exacting standards of the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRGCS). This impressive feat was achieved after a rigorous 10-hour audit of the company’s facilities conducted in August, with the official grading confirmed the following month. Such certification will be subject to annual review, ensuring sustained excellence.
Founded over half a century ago in Ireland, Harbour International Freight has significantly expanded its footprint in the UK, having established a national headquarters in Trafford Park in 2022. This strategic expansion underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities and service reach, aligning with its ambition to maintain high standards as proven by this recent accreditation.
Steve Swinburn, the Managing Director of Harbour, expressed immense pride in receiving the ‘AA’ rating, describing it as a testament to the team’s dedication in providing a ‘best-in-class service’. He elaborated on the strategic benefits of this accolade, stating that it positions the company favorably for collaborations with leading FMCG and food manufacturing entities, as well as large-scale multinationals which mandate such credentials for partnership consideration.
Rebecca Wayte, Pall-Ex’s network director, commended Harbour International Freight’s achievement. She remarked on the longstanding relationship between the organisations and acknowledged the significance of the BRGCS certification as a definitive benchmark of quality. Wayte highlighted that this endorsement could serve as a competitive edge for attracting potential clients in sectors where such compliance is increasingly critical.
The ‘AA’ rating from BRGCS not only reaffirms Harbour’s commitment to excellence but also distinguishes it in the competitive logistics sector, signalling a new era of growth and opportunity for the company. With this milestone, Harbour International is well-positioned to engage in more strategic alignments and expand its market influence.
Harbour International Freight’s AA accreditation marks a significant achievement, setting a new standard for quality in logistics.
