Gold Medal has strategically extended its operating hours and introduced special offers to intercept the anticipated high demand stemming from Disney’s recent launch. Walt Disney World Resort Florida’s ‘Free Dining & Drinks’ offer, which premiered on a Wednesday morning, has attracted a significant response, necessitating adaptive measures from travel operators.
Agents are reaping benefits from new incentives. Those who secure bookings by the end of the month can earn £75 Instant Farebank Rewards. Additionally, they also receive a $100 Disney Gift Card with bookings that include Gold Medal, Pure Luxury, and Cruise Plus packages. These offers ensure competitive pricing and enhanced value for seven-night or more stays, complete with park tickets.
Efforts to respond to the increasing demand have been solidified by Gold Medal’s decision to open its phone lines earlier than usual, and the unprecedented choice to operate on Sunday. The operating hours on Sunday have been scheduled from 11 am to 3 pm to maximise service availability to travel agents and clients.
Adrian James, product and commercial director, underscored the enthusiasm surrounding the Disney offer, remarking, “We are thrilled that Walt Disney World Resort Florida have brought back their Free Dining & Drinks deal for summer holidays into 2025. We have pulled out all the stops to ensure we are ready to support agents in securing more magical experiences for their clients than ever before.”
The continuous support for agents is not new. Prior incentives include rewarding agents with instant £75 Farebank Rewards for booking Florida private homes and villa packages. This offer persists until the end of the month, providing sustained benefits to travel intermediaries.
Gold Medal’s proactive adjustments highlight their commitment to optimising service and value in response to Disney’s popular offer.
