The Advantage Travel Partnership and Hickory Global Partners have announced a strategic collaboration that will culminate in the launch of a new accommodation network named Global Stays. Set to debut in 2025, this expansive initiative promises to feature over 60,000 properties worldwide, including an impressive collection of over one million serviced apartments. Such a monumental undertaking is poised to transform accommodation offerings within the travel industry.
The Global Stays network is set to extend its services to 1,900 travel management companies (TMCs), corporate travel departments, and Corporate Direct clients across 158 countries. This worldwide reach signifies a significant enhancement in the capability of these organisations to provide diverse accommodation options, as well as substantial growth opportunities within the travel management sector.
The partnership aims to broaden the existing accommodation offerings significantly, delivering not only an increased number of properties but also leveraging combined marketing resources for suppliers. This enhanced outreach is expected to benefit both members and suppliers by streamlining operations, which will ultimately lead to improved operational efficiencies and extensive market penetration.
Hickory Global Partners currently manages a comprehensive Hotel Programme that provides access to 43,000 hotel properties across 71 countries and 1,081 cities, serving 1,500 member locations. This existing foundation in the hotel industry will be further strengthened through the synergies realised with Advantage’s substantial presence in the UK market.
John Hobbs Hurrell, the head of Advantage Global Network, expressed confidence in this venture, asserting that it provides a “truly global and robust accommodation programme with a vastly increased scale.” He highlighted that this joint endeavour will enhance the number of hotels available to their combined memberships, creating additional revenue and marketing opportunities for hotel and supplier partners.
The collaboration between Advantage and Hickory signifies a pivotal development in the accommodation sector, promising extensive global reach and increased market opportunities for stakeholders.
