Gleeds, a renowned entity in the property and construction consultancy field, has strategically appointed Dorothy Robertson to oversee its operations across Scotland and Northern Ireland. This decision marks a significant step in their regional expansion efforts.
Robertson brings with her an admirable record of over 35 years in the sector, underpinned by substantial expertise gained through pivotal roles within the industry. Having dedicated 28 years at Robinson Low Francis (RLF), she notably led their cost consultancy and project management sections. Her tenure saw her navigate complex industry challenges, setting a standard for operational excellence prior to RLF’s acquisition by the US-based Mark G Anderson Consultants in 2021.
Assuming her position at Gleeds’ Glasgow office, Robertson is entrusted with directing a proficient team of 50 staff members. Her leadership encompasses a wide array of projects, among which are Belfast Stories and the Helix at Falkirk. Furthermore, her responsibilities include collaborations with high-profile clients such as Microsoft, PWC, and Amazon, extending to various esteemed universities including St Andrews and Glasgow.
Brian McArdle, recently appointed as Gleeds’ UK managing director, articulated his excitement about Robertson’s appointment, stating, “We’re pleased to be welcoming Dorothy to the business and I’m personally looking forward to working with her in supporting clients from our Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast offices.” He highlighted her deep sector experience as a valuable asset that promises to fortify the company’s regional presence.
