G Adventures has significantly expanded its Geluxe Collection by introducing 17 new trips that span 10 diverse countries, illustrating a forward-thinking approach to premium travel experiences. This expansion takes the total number of their ‘premium active adventures’ to 45, extending across 26 nations, and solidifying the collection as a standout project since its inception. The company has cited remarkable booking pace and volume as key indicators of the collection’s success.
The Geluxe Collection’s offerings include adventurous destinations such as Argentina and Chile’s Patagonia, the Galápagos Islands in Ecuador, Iceland, Ireland, India, Kenya, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania, and Turkey. Departures for these new adventures commence in October, with group sizes limited to a maximum of 16, ensuring intimate and immersive travel experiences. The average group size is anticipated to be between 10 to 12 people per departure.
Yves Marceau, vice-president of product at G Adventures, articulates the dual focus of these new trips: enhancing travel possibilities and giving back to local communities. “We’re delighted to be able to provide even more Geluxe options around the world,” Marceau affirmed, highlighting the unique integration of outdoor physical activity, exclusive accommodations, and refined dining experiences that lean heavily into local cuisines.
This new series of trips was initially announced in November 2023 with destinations including Botswana, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe, with departures for these set to begin in May. The collection is particularly resonant with travellers over the age of 40, a demographic slightly older than the company’s typical clientele. It has become increasingly popular with solo female travellers as well as couples seeking meaningful connections with fellow explorers.
Highlighted in the new offerings are itineraries such as ‘Kenya: Cultural Connections, Mt Kenya & the Maasai Mara,’ priced at £5,099 per person excluding flights, which provides a 10-day in-depth exploration beginning and ending in Nairobi. Guests will have the unique experience of staying at an accommodation operated and owned by the Maasai. Another exciting journey, ‘Northern India: Riverside Safaris, Ancient Fortresses & the Taj Mahal,’ is priced at £3,149 per person for a 15-day adventure from Delhi to Mumbai. These trips promise bespoke travel moments through exclusive ‘Your OMG Stay’ and ‘Your OMG Day’ features that allow for personalised experiences in settings chosen for their historical and cultural significance.
The Geluxe Collection continues to set a high bar for premium adventures, combining unique travel experiences with community-focused initiatives.
