Fusion21, a prominent procurement agency, is renewing its materials supply and associated services framework, which invites bids from merchants and distributors with both regional and national reach. The framework, boasting a substantial value of up to £250 million over a four-year period, aims to cater to public sector organisations seeking construction materials.
This extensive framework is systematically segmented into six distinct lots: general building materials, electrical supplies, plumbing and heating resources, managed services, kitchen supplies, and adapted and accessible living products. These categories reflect a strategic approach to catering to diverse material needs within the public sector.
The renewal initiative is notably influenced by feedback from members and suppliers, highlighting a commitment to refining the procurement process. Peter Francis, Operations Director at Fusion21, noted that the refreshed framework is set to launch in September 2024, designed to empower both the housing and broader public sectors to manage built assets more effectively, thus improving business operations.
Moreover, the framework incorporates a range of energy-efficient and net-zero products, underscoring a proactive stance in supporting environmental sustainability. This aspect is particularly aligned with broader societal goals, promoting innovation while encouraging practices that contribute positively to community and environmental well-being.
The framework promises compliance and flexibility, offering multiple cost models and adaptable call-off options. As with all Fusion21 frameworks, this renewal aims to enhance social value, ensuring tangible benefits are realised within communities, consistent with organisational priorities.
To participate in this bidding process, potential suppliers are required to submit their tenders through the Delta e-Sourcing Portal by the deadline of 10am on Friday, 14th June 2024.
Fusion21’s renewed framework exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to procurement in supporting environmental and social objectives.
